If you're currently waiting on a VA disability claim or appeal, we understand how frustrating the process can be—especially when weeks or months pass without an update.
We want our clients to know that the Department of Veterans Affairs has been undergoing significant staffing and operational changes. The VA reduced its workforce by nearly 30,000 employees during FY2025 and continues to make changes to how the agency operates and processes Veterans' cases.
What does this mean for your claim?
While the VA reports improvements in overall disability claim processing, individual claims, Higher-Level Reviews, appeals, examinations, and other cases can still experience significant wait times.
Most importantly, once we have submitted the necessary documents, evidence, or appeal on your behalf, we cannot control how quickly the VA reviews or makes a decision on your case.
Our office continues to:
Monitor the status of your case
Respond to VA requests when action is required
Submit necessary evidence and documentation
Identify available options when a decision is issued
Advocate for the benefits you have earned
Your case has not been forgotten.
A lack of recent activity on the VA's part does not necessarily mean that nothing is happening with your claim—or that our office is delaying it. In many cases, we are waiting alongside you for the VA to take its next required action.
We appreciate your patience and understand how important these benefits are to you and your family. Our team will continue working on your behalf and will contact you whenever there is a meaningful development or action required in your case.
We remain committed to fighting for America's Veterans and the benefits they have earned.
